Finishing ramp profile made of anodized aluminum to create a continuous transition at different levels between an elastic coating (eg LTV-vinyl) and other coatings. The sloping visible surface of the Schlüter-VINPRO-U profile prevents the formation of steps between floors of different heights. In addition, the profile provides safe protection for the edges of the stretch liners.
Material
Schlüter-VINPRO-U is available in the following finishes:
- ACGB = Brushed Chrome Anodized Aluminum
- ATGB = Brushed titanium anodized aluminum
- (there may be color variations compared to other Schlüter profiles in ATGB version)
- ABGB = Brushed Antique Bronze Anodized Aluminum
Material properties and fields of application:
In certain cases, the suitability of the type of material must be checked according to the expected chemical or mechanical attacks. These are some general tips to keep in mind.
Anodized aluminum: aluminum has a refined finish due to the anodized surface, which must be protected against abrasive objects or objects that can scratch it. Anodizing damage can only be repaired by repainting.
How to use
Fixing with screws:
- Select the VINPRO-U profile according to the thickness of the coating.
- Position the profile and mark the drilling points on the 5 mm diameter dowel holder.
- Fix the profile to the floor or to the wall with Ø 3.5 mm countersunk screws.
- Follow the coating manufacturer's instructions for installation.
Fixing with mounting adhesive:
- Select the VINPRO-U profile according to the thickness of the coating.
- Position the profile and install it by applying KERDI-FIX mounting adhesive or equivalent material. This fixing method is particularly suitable when the profile cannot be screwed to the bracket.
- Follow the coating manufacturer's instructions for installation.
Note: the substrate must be stable and free from imperfections.
Indications
VINPRO-U does not require any special maintenance. For delicate surfaces, the use of abrasive cleaners should be avoided.
Anodizing damage can only be repaired by repainting. Cleaners must not include hydrochloric acid or hydrofluoric acid among their components.
