High quality stainless steel skirting with a fine finish for the quick creation of elegant skirting boards. The profile is easily attached to the wall area with a suitable adhesive. Optionally, the profile can be equipped with a sealing gasket, which protects the base of the skirting board against the penetration of moisture and helps reduce the transmission of impact noise.

Material properties and fields of application
In certain cases, the suitability of the type of material must be checked according to the expected chemical or mechanical damage. Here are just a few general tips that can be given.
Visible surfaces must be protected from abrasion and possible scratches. Aluminum is sensitive to alkaline media. The materials that contain cement-glue in combination with humidity, act alkaline, and can cause corrosion depending on the concentration level and the exposure time (formation of aluminum hydroxide). Therefore, any remaining cement or grouting material must be immediately removed. Also, avoid covering the surface with a protective film.
How to use
- The DESIGNBASE-SL stainless steel skirting board is glued with Schlüter KERDI-FIX mounting adhesive or an equivalent material. Apply the adhesive on the back of the profile and paste later. Before applying the adhesive, the surfaces must be properly cleaned and degreased with the appropriate products. Note: the profile can optionally be installed with the sealing gasket accessory (see detail with sealing gasket) to prevent moisture penetration through the profile base and reduce transmission to impact noise.
- Remove excess and traces of adhesive with the appropriate cleaning products.
Indications
The DESIGNBASE-SL stainless steel skirting does not require any special maintenance. Abrasive cleaning products should not be used for sensitive finishes. The deterioration of the anodized can only be repaired by means of a new lacquer. All cleaning products must be free of hydrochloric acid and hydrofluoric acid.
