Skirting board, socket or profile designed to be installed as a finish off for technical raised floors interraces, balconies, runways, swimmingpool floors, etc. Delivered in kit with all the necessary elements for the installation and its adjustment during the installation work.
Novocover Maxi is a profile designed as a solution to cover the tiles’ edges and the gap between technical raised floors and the floor in outdoor installations such as terraces, balconies, runways, swimminpool floors.
Novocover Maxi is made of a warm material, suitable for outdoor installations and adaptable to the latest trends. The material can be machined like wood, allowing to adapt to multiple dimensions and dimensional variations. It can be unmounted to make the cleaning and is delivered in kit with all the necessary for the installation.

Materials
Maxi is a composite material, belonging to the family of WPC (Wood Plastic Composites), consisting of PVC and vegetable fibers. These fibers come from the recycling of organic waste from agriculture. The reduction of waste and the recycling of materials make maxi comply with Emac®'s commitment to the environment and sustainable construction.
Maxi has an original finish, similar to wood and natural elements, which adapts to different decorative environments. The main advantage of this compound is that it has the best qualities of PVC and vegetable fibers, such as good mechanical resistance, resistance to abrasion and dimensional stability, among others.
Placement
Novocover Maxi consists of a kit consisting of an aluminum angle, a bevelled Maxi top and the necessary hardware for installation. The profiles are served at 2.50 ml.
As for the hardware, you will find two types of screws included in the kit. On the one hand, screw A, a countersunk-head thread-plate screw that, together with a washer, will be used to connect the aluminum angle to the Maxi cover. On the other hand, screw B, a self-drilling flat head screw that will serve to attach the pre-assembled assembly to the raised foot.
Initially test the cover on your installation to see if a height adjustment is necessary. If so, you can cut the maxi profile lengthwise by using a cutting disc for PVC or non-ferrous materials.
- Initially pre-mount the system. To do this, place the angle on the cover aligning it to the desired height according to the chosen tile. Make sure the chamfered side is on top.
- Then put the Type A screws with the washer into the pre-drilled holes of the aluminum angle bracket and fix it to the cover. Make sure that you use the washer and do not overtighten the screw, otherwise it could pierce the face. Place the screws every 25 cm maximum apart.
- Place the set on the feet that make up the raised floor. Keep in mind that the cover should be about 10 mm from the ground.
- It is advisable to fix the aluminum angle to the raised foot in order to improve the fixation of the Novocover maxi. To do this, use the type B screws and screw them directly onto the aluminum profile to fix the assembly to the raised foot.
- In installations with a head joint or joints between profiles, it is recommended to maintain a separation as an expansion joint, which should be greater the longer the profiles to be joined, approximately 2 mm / m. This joint can be sealed with elastic joint filler suitable for outdoor use.
- Cover with tile and finish installation
Warnings
- Because part of the raw material that makes up the Maxi is natural, there may be differences in tone that should not be considered a manufacturing defect.
- It is advisable to take the piece by its central area, avoiding holding it by the ends to avoid bending stresses that could cause cracks or breakage
- Do not over bend the material. Always store it horizontally and in dry places
- It should not be sanded, since it would affect its superficial appearance
- It resists well in humid conditions but its submerged use is not recommended.
- The installation of Maxi outdoors supposes a natural variation in its original color, being noticeably superior in the range of earth colors. To avoid these possible color variations due to continued sun exposure, we recommend installing the Maxi range indoors.
